Ski Foundation 1 (SF1)
This course is open to CFAV’s and cadets aged 16+ from the ACF and CCF as indicated. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
These courses are ideally suited to CFAV’s and cadets skiing up to level 5, CFAV’s will spend 6 days and Cadets 5 days on snow. The course content includes clothing and equipment, winter mountain hazards, ski history, piste navigation, plough and parallel ski skill incorporating the central theme.
The Joint Services Ski Foundation Level One (SF1) course is appropriate for candidates who have spent less than 2 weeks on piste or who are skiing at level 5 or below within the Snowsport Scotland Snowlife award.
The personnel contribution for these courses is £450, this includes transport to and from the UK, in country travel, accommodation on a full board basis, instruction, equipment hire, lift passes and insurance.
Bids must be placed through WESTMINSTER and will not be accepted until a 50% (£225) deposit is received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing. All administration costs will be deducted from personal contributions prior to any refund being issued. This could be as much as £150.

Intermediate Ski Course (ISC)
This course is open to CFAV’s and cadets aged 16+ from the ACF and CCF as indicated. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
The Intermediate Ski course (ISC) gives candidates who have successfully completed SF1/BSP(A) an opportunity to further develop their on piste skills and gain experience towards an instructor qualification. Candidates are to provide evidence of successfully completing BSP(A)/SF1 on application to be considered for this course. Candiadtes who have not completed BSP(A)/SF1 must be skiing at a minimum of level 5 and provide proof on application.
