White Water Safety And Rescue Training
This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
The BCU White Water Safety and Rescue (WWS&R) course is a 2-day training course.
The course content includes individual’s awareness of safety skills in a river/white water environment, personal survival skills, throw line rescue techniques, structure in an emergency situation, rescue protocols and the introduction and develop of the ‘clean rope’ principle.
The WWS&R is a pre-requisite for the BCU 4* leaders awards.
Candidates must be confident swimming in canoe clothing in the moving water environment and have the paddle skills to suit grade 2 water.
The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.
