Basic Caving Course (BCC)

This course is open to CFAV’s and cadets aged 16 and over from the ACF and CCF. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.

This is a 5 day introduction to caving. The course content includes clothing and equipment, access and conservation, cave hazards, weather, rope management and knots, life line skills, use of cave ladders, navigation, cave geology, formation, hydrology and safety and emergency procedures

Upon successful completion of this course candidates will be issued a CCAT brassard badge (cadets only) and course certificate.

The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids will not be excepted until the course fee has been received.
Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.
