MLTE WALKING GROUP LEADER TRAINING (WGL)

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
The MLTE Walking Group Leader (WGL) is a 3-day training course.

The WGL award is ideally suited for walkers that wish to lead groups in open non-mountainous upland, moor fell, hill or down on ground that has well defined boundaries, is non-technical and where refuge is easily assessable within a few hours.

Prior to attending a training course candidates must have completed at least 12 months personal hill walking experience including 20 logged quality hill walking days.
On successful completion of a training course candidates are required to gain further experience and complete their personal action plan before attending an assessment.
Candidates must be a member of the British Mountaineering Council at a personal cost of £29.95 and have registered for the WGL award with MLTE/S/W/NI at a cost of £35; this should be done at least 3/4 weeks prior to the course. Candidates cannot complete this training course without the relevant MLTE Logbook.

The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF (Army) section. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis. The MLTE Walking Group Leader (WGL) is a 3-day assessment course.

The WGL award is ideally suited for walkers that wish to lead groups in open non-mountainous upland, moor fell, hill or down on ground that has well defined boundaries, is non-technical and where refuge is easily assessable within a few hours.

Prior to attending an assessment course candidates must have successfully completed an MLTE endorsed training course and completed at least 40 quality hill walking days in differing conditions and 3 distinct areas of the UK. Candidates must also have group management experience and hold a current First Aid certificate.
Candidates cannot complete this assessment course without the relevant MLTE Logbook.

The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.

MLTE SINGLE PITCH AWARD (SPA) TRAINING

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF, ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis. The MLTE Single Pitch Award (SPA) is a 2-day training course.

The SPA is ideally suited for climbers who wish to introduce singled pitched roped climbing, abseiling, and bouldering sessions or teach basic climbing techniques on  natural rock that has a short easy approach and retreat or artificial walls, boulders and towers.

Prior to attending a training course candidates must have completed  at least 12 months personal climbing experience including 15 outdoor lead climbs where routes require leader placed protection.

On successful completion of a training course candidates are required to gain further experience and complete their personal action plan before attending an assessment.

Candidates must be a member of the British Mountaineering Council at a personal cost of £29.95 and have registered for the SPA award with MLTE/S/W/NI at a cost of £35; this should be done at least 3/4 weeks prior to the course.  Candidates cannot complete this training course without the relevant MLTE Logbook.

MLTE CLIMBING WALL AWARD (CWA) TRAINING, Inc Abseil Module

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF (Army) section. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.

The MLTE Climbing Wall Award (CWA) including Abseil Module is a 3-day training course.

The CWA is ideally suited for climbers who wish to introduce roped climbing, abseiling, and bouldering sessions or teach basic climbing techniques on artificial indoor or outdoor climbing walls/boulders and towers to novices.

Prior to attending a training course candidates must have completed  at least 6 months personal climbing experience including 15 visits to 3 different climbing walls and able to lead climbing.

On successful completion of a training course candidates are required to gain further experience and complete their personal action plan before attending an assessment.

Candidates must be a member of the British Mountaineering Council at a personal cost of £29.95 and have registered for the CWA award with MLTE/S/W/NI at a cost of £35; this should be done at least 3/4 weeks prior to the course.  Candidates can not complete this training course without the relevant MLTE logbook.

MLTE MOUNTAIN LEADER SUMMER (MLS) TRAINING

The MLTE Summer Mountain Leader (MLS) is a 6-day training course.

The ML(S) is ideally suited for mountaineers that wish to lead groups in mountainous and remote country.
Prior to attending a training course candidates must have completed at least 12 months mountain walking experience including 20 logged quality mountain days.
On successful completion of a training course candidates are required to gain further experience and complete their personal action plan before attending an assessment.

Candidates must be a member of the British Mountaineering Council at a personal cost of £29.95 and have registered for the MLS award with MLTE/S/W/NI at a cost of £35; this should be done at least 3/4 weeks prior to the course. Candidates cannot complete this training course without the relevant MLTE Logbook.

The MLTE Summer Mountain Leader (MLS) is a 5-day assessment course.

The ML(S) is ideally suited for mountaineers that wish to lead groups in mountainous and remote country.
Prior to attending an assessment course candidates must have successfully completed an MLTE endorsed training course and completed at least 40 quality mountain days in 3 differing regions of the UK. This should include at least 8 night clamping of which 4 must be wild and remote; experience of group management over technical terrain is also required and candidates must also hold a current First Aid certificate. Candidates cannot complete this assessment course without the relevant MLTE Logbook.

The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.

Snowsport Scotland Alpine Ski Leader Revalidation and Re-assessment

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF, ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
The Snowsport Scotland ASL Revalidation/technical deferral is a 1 day assessment. Candidates must be current Snowsport Scotland members at the time of the course and hold a valid first aid certificate.

The course fee includes accommodation on a full board basis, in country transport, lift passes,  insurance and Snowsport Scotland Administration fees. Ski hire if required is NOT included.

Candidates are required to make their own arrangements for travelling to and from Bavaria, A collection and drop off can be arranged from Memmingen Airport for Ryan Air flights arriving from Stansted only (1445).

The personal contribution for this course is £125; bids must be placed through WESTMINSTER and will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing. All administration costs will be deducted from personal contributions prior to any refund being issued. This could be as much as £75.

Himalayan Expedition Stok Kangri India

CCAT has a once in a life time oppurtunity for ACF and CCF (Army) CFAV’s to join our expedition to the Indian Himalayas taking in the peak of Stok Kangri at a height of 20083ft.
