Mountain First Aid (MFA)

This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF (Army) section. ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis. This MFA is a 2-day training and assessment course. The course is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive and all National Governing Bodies.

The course content includes Incident Management, Basic Life Support, Bleeding, Shock, Fractures, Climate Injury, Head and Spine Injury and Common Illness.

This is a practical course with many of the scenarios taking place on the ground in a mountain environment. Candidates need no prior first aid experience. Upon successful completion of the course candidates will be issued with a mountain first aid award.

The personal contribution for this course is £35; bids must be placed through WESTMINSTER and will not be excepted until the course fee has been received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing.
