This course is open to CFAV’s and cadets aged 16+ from the ACF and CCF as indicated. ATC and SCC CFAV only bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
This 6-day course in Norway is designed to teach students the basics of Nordic skiing on high-level terrain, with the specific aim of completing an overnight self-supported ski tour staying in a mountain hut at the end of the course. The course content includes clothing and equipment and winter mountain hazards.
Some previous skiing experience is desirable (BSA / SF1 standard) but not essential as this course is primarily aimed at novices.
Included is transport to and from the UK, in country travel, accommodation on a full board basis, instruction, equipment hire and insurance.
CCAT Application Process.
A CCAT course application is available on WESTMINSTER and the CCAT website www.armycadetadventure.co.uk. The course fee is £450.00. An electronic course application is required to be placed onto WESTMINSTER by your ACF/CCF unit. The CCAT course application form should be completed in full, is legible, signed and authorised by your unit ACF/CCF. A 50% deposit of £225 is required.
The fully completed CCAT course application should then be sent to HQ CCAT, Capel Curig, either by:
a. Email with the deposit/payment paid by BACs with student name + course i.e. Smith – Norski in the banking reference (preferable).
b. Post with a cheque made payable to CCAT ensuring the name of the student and course is written on the back of the cheque.
