BCU 3*White Water Kayak/Canoe and BCU 4* White Water Leader Training
This expedition is open to CFAV’s and Cadets aged 17+ from the ACF and CCF. CFAV ATC and SCC bids are welcome on a fill up basis.
This is an 8-day Intermediate White Water Inland Kayak/Open Canoe course being conducted in Southern France.
Candidates must be water confident and be able to swim 25mts wearing a Buoyancy Aid.
This is an intermediate White Water course in either canoe or kayak. Candidates may complete the BCU3* White Water Kayak or Canoe training or/and assessment incorporating elements of the BCU Foundation Safety and Rescue Training.
Candidates must have completed the BCU 2* award or/and JS KFC/K2F or/and OFC/O2F as a pre requisite to attend this course.
The 4* White Water Leader Training course will follow the BCU 4* syllabus. Candidates must have completed the BCU 3* White Water award as a pre requisite for this course and must have grade 2/3 log book experience.
The course fee includes feeding and accommodation in chalets, loan of canoes/kayaks , paddling equipment, instruction and all BCU Administration fees.
The personal contribution for this course is £250; bids must be placed through WESTMINSTER and will not be accepted until the course fee has been received.Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing. All administration costs will be deducted from personal contributions prior to any refund being issued. This could be as much as £50.
There will be 8 kayak(3*) 6 Canoe(3*) and 4 kayak(4*) vacancies.
