This course is open to CFAVs and Senior Cadets 17+ years. It is not a course for novices as you will need to have completed the CCAT Basic Rock Climbing Course (BRC) as a minimum or have equivalent experience. There are 6 x vacancies on this expedition. Basic rock climbing equipment can be provided but you will be required to provide your own climbing clothing and strongly encouraged to have your own pair of rock climbing shoes as a minimum.
The cost of this course is £500.00 personal contribution for 10-days rock climbing.
The Canadian Rockies mountain backdrop is nothing short of breath taking. CANROCK will be based in the picturesque town of Banff for the duration of the expedition. Nestled in the province of Alberta and in the Banff National Park this area is visited by a cosmopolitan mix of people from all over the world. The Rockies provides a plethora of unique rock climbing experiences from single pitch to huge multi pitch rock climbing routes on limestone or quartzite cliffs. There is simply a huge range of fun climbs in a rugged and remote landscape to test your skills. Whether you’re dipping your fingers into chalk for the first time or you’ve already scaled your fair share of difficult routes, in the Bow Valley corridor you’ll find a number of options at your fingertips that will get you stoked.
