This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF Army Section, bids are welcome from the ATC and SCC on a top up basis.
The Snowsport Scotland (SSS) Alpine Ski Leader (ASL) award is designed for instructors who wish to teach skiing to young people, Once qualified ASL’s can teach or lead skiers on up to red pisted runs and deliver Snowsport Scotland Snowlife awards.
This is a 6 day on snow course concentrating on the central theme incorporating personal ski development, teaching and delivery methods, evening lectures and presentations.
Prior to attending the course candidates must be skiing at an intermediate/advanced level equating to Snowsports Scotland level 7 minimum or Joint Services Advanced Proficiency Alpine and hold a current first aid certificate.
The personnel contribution for this course is £625 which includes the course registration fee of £50, Snowsport Scotland membership at £50, transport to and from the UK and in country travel, accommodation on a full board basis, instruction, equipment hire, lift passes and insurance.
Bids must be placed through WESTMINSTER and will not be accepted until a 50% (£300) deposit is received. Personal contributions will not be refunded for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course commencing. All administration costs will be deducted from personal contributions prior to any refund being issued. This could be as much as £200.
