Restrictions. This course is open to CFAV’s from the ACF and CCF. ATC and SCC CFAV bids are welcome on a top up basis only. No previous experience is required.
Course content.
This 2 day course is recognised by the National Governing Bodies (British Canoeing, British Cycling and Mountain Training). This course is suitable for those wishing to have extended skills in wilderness first aid to help a casualty in remote areas and to take control of an incident in a hazardous environment. Successful completion of the course results in a first aid certificate specifically focussed toward outdoor activities.
Notes.
This course is aimed at CFAVs who require a first qualification prior to attending a National Governing Body Leader or Instructor qualification and/or those CFAVs who already hold a National Governing Body Leader or Instructor qualification and need to update their first aid qualification. This course is not suited for those CFAVs who simply want a work place first aid award.
CCAT Application Process.
A CCAT course application is available on WESTMINSTER and the CCAT website

An electronic course application needs to be placed onto WESTMINSTER by your ACF/CCF unit.
The CCAT course application form needs to be completed in full, legible signed and authorised by your unit ACF/CCF. The course application needs to be sent to HQ CCAT, Capel Curig, by post or email with the course fee (cheque made payable to CCAT or BACs). Ensure the name of the student and course is written on the back of the cheque or included in the BACs payment reference.
